The upside - The trails are accessible - some of the best within a 30 minute drive of Portsmouth. They offer some elevation change - more than you'd find closer to the coast. The downside - trails are poorly marked, intersections are confusing, and trail closures are not clearly signed. When I was there, the trails leading up to Stratham Hill were all closed without explanation.
It's a clean park with nice fields and good hiking paths. Nothing really special except for the fair once a year but other than that it's a good park with a couple baseball fields and a small play structure. Plus a nice wooden pavilion.
Great biking trails. Well marked and groomed and well supported by the town. Get it!
Has an off leash area for the doggies, but a lot of people do use leashes, and so I felt I needed to keep mine pretty close by. It also has some swamps where the doggies can get muddy. And for some reason, my dog frequently seems to find dad animals to roll in. Yuck! But hey, there are not a ton of places to take a dog off leash, and so I'm still very happy with this park.
Great place to bring kids in pets to socialize and have fun! Several fields to play sports and pavillions to celebrate events 120-acres of outdoor fun and trails for mountain biking and hiking.
